Sustain the Vision: Phase 2
It is an auspicious time with His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, just completing his third trip to the United States.
Please help support our vision to build the Karmapa a personal sacred space with which to carry out his buddha-activities when we're blessed with a visit by His Holiness to Chicago.

The 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Visits Chicago KTC
On May 4, 2015, His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa fulfilled our request and aspiration to visit Chicago Karma Thegsum Chöling to bless the members of our sangha and the center itself.
His Holiness gave the reading transmission of the Mani mantra and root text “For the Benefit of All Beings” then gave a concise teaching on the importance of the Chenrezig practice which is the heart essence of our center’s practice.
"When we set ourselves the task of cultivating compassion through the practice of Chenrezik, this means we are committing ourselves to opening our eyes to what is really going on. Practicing Chenrezik means bearing witness to the sufferings of others, with loving eyes wide open."
“Our body is limited but our mind has no limits. Our potential for compassion and love is limitless.”
-17th Karmapa at Chicago KTC
There is a wonderful article posted
which summarizes the event.
We want to thank your Holiness Karmapa from our loving hearts for being a wish-fulfilling jewel and gracing us with your presence. We pray for your long life and your return to our center again and again.
