Chicago Karma Thegsum Chöling (KTC) is a center for the study and practice of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and an affiliate of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra Monastery, the North American seat of His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje
By donating or becoming a member of Chicago KTC, you help to keep the precious Buddhist teachings and the rich tradition of the Karma Kagyu Lineage available in the Chicago area. Operation costs of Chicago KTC are funded entirely by donations and contributions from supporting friends and members. Operating costs include mostly flights and offerings to our teachers and retreat lamas. We try and keep our operating costs low and teachings admission fees low, but we need your help. Your donation goes a long way to help the dharma flourish and continue to benefit beings that come in contact with it.
Chicago Karma Thegsum Chöling is a 501(c)-3 nonprofit organization. All donations and membership dues are tax deductible.
For your convenience, you will receive a tax receipt from Chicago Karma Thegsum Chöling at the end of each year indicating your annual contribution.
Levels of Membership
To become a member of Chicago KTC, please send your check indicating your level of membership along with your name, address, phone number, and email address. You may also become a member by subscribing below through PayPal, which will automatically deduct your membership dues monthly.
Sustaining Member: $100/month (Individual or Family)
Entitled to free teachings at Chicago KTC, priority scheduling of interviews with visiting lamas. Entitled to full membership benefits at Karma Triyana Dharmachakra and KTC, including discounts for KTD teachings and Namse Bangdzo bookstore, subscription to KTC bi-monthly newsletter, and participation in KTC elections.
Full Member: Individual $35/month.

Friend of Chicago KTC: Ongoing monthly contribution of $20/month
Entitled to full KTC benefits, including subscription to KTC newsletter, but does not include discounts at Karma Triyana Dharmachakra. **Specified amounts over $100 per month receive free teachings at Chicago KTC.
Make a One-Time Donation to KTC
If you simply wish to make a one-time donation to Chicago KTC, there are several ways to do so: you can mail a check to KTC or you can make an on-line donation via PayPal's secure web servers. No PayPal account is necessary.The details for both are below.
